Supplying the North American demand for crucial lithium resources

Piedmont Lithium’s hard rock global portfolio includes capital projects and equity investments that are being developed on a measured timeline to optimize near-term cash flow and long-term value maximization.

Our jointly-owned North American Lithium (NAL) project in Quebec is North America’s largest producing spodumene mine. Subject to permitting and approvals, the Ewoyaa Lithium Project is expected to also bring spodumene concentrate online. Our fully integrated Carolina Lithium is expected to produce 30,000 metric tons per year of lithium hydroxide, relying on spodumene concentrate mined from the Carolina Tin-Spodumene Belt for processing onsite. Our Tennessee Lithium operation, which is now permitted, is designed to process spodumene concentrate from the Ewoyaa project, NAL, or other market sources to also produce 30,000 metric tons per year of domestic lithium hydroxide.

At production, we expect to have an estimated lithium hydroxide manufacturing capacity of 60,000 metric tons per year, as compared to the current total estimated U.S. lithium hydroxide production capacity of 20,000 metric tons annually. In support of our strategy, we continue to evaluate opportunities for our resource base and production capacity.
